Honouring Mother Earth

We believe it's important to give back to Mother Earth who gives us so much. Therefore we want to curate a business with practices we’re proud of and be transparent about our journey towards sustainability. Here are some of the things we’re doing.

We plant trees

We are proud to have teamed up with the non-profit organisation One Tree Planted to help plant trees all over the world  in areas that are most vulnerable to deforestation. As of June 2020, we will plant one tree with every order.

We have chosen to plant trees in Australia where we experienced one of the largest natural disasters in history. This year's fire season has brought about unprecedented destruction as wildfires have spread across every Australian state, burning up nearly 6 million hectares (15 million acres) of bush as of January 2020. But the devastation witnessed in the state of New South Wales is nearly unfathomable - 3.6 million hectares (8.8 million acres) have been lost, over 1,500 homes destroyed or damaged, and 24 people have been killed. New South Wales is home to some of the most iconic of Australia's wildlife - koalas, wombats, and kangaroos to name a few - and their habitat is rapidly declining. Planting trees will restore wildlife habitat and protect native species.

BENEFITS OF TREES: Trees clean our air, clean our water, give homes to 70% of the world's animals, help regulate the Earth's climate, protect against floods, provide oxygen, and so much more.

Sustainable Packaging

We use paper based packaging instead of plastic packaging like bubblewrap wherever can. By living by the mantra: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, we do reuse bubblewrap packaging that we have received from our suppliers, hence you might occasionally find that in your parcel.

As a friendly reminder, your boxes, packing material, shipping receipt can all be recycled once you are done with them. Every little bit helps!

One advantage of paper is that it decomposes much more quickly than plastic, and therefore it is less likely to be a source of litter and pose a risk to wildlife. Paper is also more widely recyclable, while plastic can take between 400 and 1,000 years to decompose. *
